Get your CRA Business Number

The federal number that your tax accounts attach to.

What it is

The Business Number (BN) is a nine-digit number the Canada Revenue Agency uses to identify your business. Your GST account (step 4) is attached to it.

How to get it

You may be offered a BN while registering with BC Registry. If not, register directly with the CRA online.

My Business Account

Create a CRA My Business Account. This is where you will register for GST, file returns and make payments.
